When it comes to our babies, we are very sensitive
At “Agrotopia”, harvesting fresh fruits and vegetables is a very sensitive process. We devote all our resources and attention to preserving the unique taste, the freshness and the precious vitamins within our products. “Agrotopia” does apply nature's strictest quality conditions, where our products are not chemically treated in any way and is only cleaned with special water after harvest.
We begin the preservation process immediately after harvest, where we avoid damaged, cut, bruised and pest or disease infested produce. Frozen strawberries are prepared by freezing fresh, clean, sound, ripe and stemmed strawberries of firm texture, of the species “Festival” or “Fortuna”.

The freezing operation must be carried out in a way that the range of temperature of maximum crystallisation is passed quickly, where quickly freezing the foods produces ice crystals that are small, and thus do not cause damage to food fibers preserving its freshness.

frozen strawberries are the product of the Individually Quick-Frozen methodology
(IQF) is different from other freezing methods such as (blast freezing, plate freezing, belt-tunnel freezing, fluidized-bed freezing, cryogenic freezing, and dehydro-freezing), where it does not allow large ice crystals to form in fruit cells.
This freezing operation shall be carried out in such a way that the range of temperature of maximum crystallization is passed quickly. The quick freezing process shall not be regarded as complete unless and until the product temperature has reached -18°C (0°F) at the thermal center after thermal stabilization.
One of the main advantages of this method of preparing frozen food is that the freezing process takes only a few minutes. The short freezing prevents formation of large ice crystals in the product’s cells, which destroys the membrane structures at the molecular level. This makes the product keep its shape, colour, smell and taste after defrost, at a far greater extent. Another significant advantage of IQF technology is its ability to separate units of the products during freezing, which produces higher quality product compared to block freezing. This advantage is also important for food sustainability, as the consumer can defrost and use the exact needed quantity. Also, since each piece is individually frozen, particles do not cohere, and the final product is not frozen into a solid block.
